Angkor Hike & Bike Tour Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrive Siem Reap (D)

Explore some of Angkor's most beautiful temples by bike alongside a local guide. This afternoon, set out on your first cycling adventure to explore the rural charms of the Cambodian countryside, passing through the Village of Chreav en-route to the Tonle Sap Lake. Weave your way through the dusty back roads to a small stilted hammock bar overlooking the rice fields, before proceeding to the seldom visited Phnom Krom hill. Take in the sprawling panorama as the sun sets over a delectable champagne cocktail. This evening, you will have your first encounter with Khmer Cuisine at The Sugar Palm, served in a traditional Khmer house.

Day 2: Ankor Trekking (B,L,D)

After breakfast, the temple exploration begins with a trek through the dense jungle of the magnificent temples of Angkor. Construction of the temples is thought to have taken around thirty years of intensive labor. Trek through the forest towards the ancient city of Angkor Thom, where the mysterious faces of Bayon stare majestically in to the distance.
Return to your hotel for some time at leisure before an atmospheric dinner tonight at Champey restaurant next to pup street.

Day 3: Siem Reap - Phnom Kulen - Beng Mealea - Siem Reap (B,L,D)

This morning we take a short transfer to foot of the Phnom Kulen Hills, a sacred place where many Khmers like to hang out in the weekends, passing through local villages and field's en-route. Also, home to a waterfall where a refreshing dip will no doubt be appreciated. From here, trek east to Svay Leu Pagoda, passing through Cambodia's pristine jungle. Cycle south on less used roads to Beng Mealea, a relatively unexplored temple: a huge, sprawling complex that is an explorer's dream as most of the temple is covered in jungle and the crowds are nowhere to be seen. Continue back to Siem Reap for dinner at Nest Angkor Restaurant.

Day 4: Siem Reap - Banteay Srei - Wat Tabeng (B,L,D)

After breakfast, we depart for Banteay Srey by bicycle. Banteay Srey remains the best preserved temple in Cambodia and offers stunning bass relief and other stone carvings. Learn about local communities along the way as your guide helps you interact with the local people. Visit the Landmine Museum which promotes mine awareness before arriving at the "gem" of the Angkor area, the pretty temple of Banteay Srey. From Banteay Srei, it is only a short 18 km ride to Wat Tabeng, your home for tonight. Set amidst a sea of rice fields an adventure style tented camp awaits, equipped with all the trimmings and complemented by a Khmer BBQ dinner and comfortable and stylish sitting areas.

Day 5: Wat Tabeng - Phnom Bok - Kampong Pluk - Siem Reap (B,L,D)

Rise early, as you witness the monks at Wat Tabeng performing their morning rituals before breakfast at the camp. Take a short cycle through the village to Phnom Bok Hill, where a short trek will lead you to the top, revealing magnificent views. Descend upon the pretty temple of Banteay Srei, for lunch. Continue on to the Tonle Sap in a military style jeep before boarding a local sampan in order to visit Kampong Phluck, a village where you will see houses on stilts that are submerged when the Tonlé Sap Lake extends.
Tonight, enjoy a Khmer dinner at Viroth's, a stylish and comfortable restaurant set in a quiet garden.

Day 6: Siem Reap - Departure (B)

Enjoy the day at leisure. If you are up for some more action, join one of our optional tours; a hot-air balloon ride over Angkor Archaeological Park, a quad bike tour, horseback riding just outside of Siem Reap or a massage treatment at a sumptuous spa.
